Samsung has just rolled out a new software update for the Galaxy A35, but it's not One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 as many were expecting. Instead, the update brings the February 2025 security patch, which fixes a number of security vulnerabilities and enhances the device's protection against potential threats.
The update is now available for the Galaxy A35 variant with model number SM-A356B, which is available in several European countries such as Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The new software version is codenamed A356BXXS4AYB1.
Users can install the update in two ways. The simplest way is to go to Settings, select Software Update, then tap Download and Install. If you want to update manually, you can download the firmware file from Samsung's official database and install it using Odin software on your Windows PC. However, it is important to back up your data before doing so to avoid losing information.
While waiting for One UI 7.0, this security update helps to enhance the protection of the Galaxy A35, especially against the risks of increasingly sophisticated malware.
Along with the release of this update, Samsung is also preparing to launch the Galaxy A36, the successor to the Galaxy A35. According to leaked sources, the Galaxy A36 will have a new design, a more powerful processor, upgraded cameras, and faster charging speed.
