Samsung has just announced the One UI 8 Beta testing program, the company's latest interface version based on Android 16. This is a step to regain user trust after the delays with the previous One UI 7 update.

One UI 8 Beta is now released for some models of the Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The initial testing program applies to four markets, including Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US. Samsung has not confirmed whether other devices will be participating, but it is expected to expand in the near future.

The stable version of One UI 8 is scheduled to be pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, which are expected to launch in July.

How to register for the One UI 8 Beta program

If you are using an eligible device in the above countries and want to experience One UI 8 early, you can join the testing program by:

  • Download and open the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store
  • Sign in with the Samsung account you are using on the device
  • Tap the One UI 8 Beta Program banner that appears at the top of the home screen to register
  • After successfully registering, go to Settings, Software update, Download and install
  • If the beta has been released, you will see the update appear and can install it immediately

After a few minutes of installation, the phone will reboot, and you can start exploring the new changes on One UI 8.

Samsung will continue to release 4 to 6 beta versions before releasing the stable version. All eligible Galaxy devices are expected to receive One UI 8 before the end of 2025. We'll keep you updated on this roadmap as it becomes available.
