Samsung has officially begun rolling out its February 2026 security patch for Galaxy smartphones, with the newly minted Galaxy S25 series being the first in line to receive the upgrade.

Typically, the tech giant drops its monthly security patches right at the start of the month, prioritizing its flagship S and foldable Z lineups. However, this month saw a slight deviation from the usual schedule as Samsung geared up for its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event.

The wait is now over for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users. The latest software update delivers the new security patch, which addresses 37 known vulnerabilities found in the previous operating system version.

Sticking to its familiar rollout strategy, Samsung is debuting the update in its home market of South Korea before expanding it to other regions globally in the coming weeks. The over-the-air (OTA) update weighs in at approximately 541.69MB and carries the firmware version S93xNKSS8BZB2.
