Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 gets February 2025 update

If you're a Galaxy Z Fold 4 user, you're probably looking forward to the One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15. However, while the official release date hasn't been announced yet, Samsung is currently rolling out the February 2025 security patch for the device.

The update focuses on fixing multiple security vulnerabilities, helping to strengthen the device's protection against potential threats. Currently, the new update is only available for the carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 4 variant in the US, with model number SM-F936U, and is being rolled out to users on MetroPCS and T-Mobile. The new software version is F936USQS7GYA5.

To download and install the update, users just need to go to Settings, scroll down to Software Update, and select Download and Install. The update should be performed when the battery is sufficient and the device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid interruptions.

Many Galaxy Z Fold 4 users are wondering when One UI 7.0 will be officially released. Samsung said that it is focusing on developing a new software version with breakthrough improvements, which has delayed the rollout. However, the company has not announced a specific release date yet.
