Samsung has finally listened to its users, fixing the biggest annoyance with the Privacy Display feature on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

According to reliable tipster Ice Universe, the One UI 9 Beta 4 update completely resolves this issue when paired with Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. If you shrink a YouTube video down to your home screen, the anti-peeping filter now applies strictly to that video frame. The rest of your display stays bright and vibrant, no longer dimming entirely like it used to.

Previously, switching a privacy-enabled app into a floating window would darken the entire screen. This was highly frustrating, making it incredibly difficult for users to juggle other apps simultaneously. This much-needed tweak makes the multitasking experience feel natural and seamless again.

Notably, a post on the Samsung Community confirms that this privacy filter fluidly tracks your finger as you drag the video window around the screen. Swiping open the Edge Panel or reading messages at the same time remains completely unaffected.

These improvements were previously teased by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year. Galaxy S26 Ultra owners can check for and download the One UI 9 Beta update right now via the Samsung Members app.
