Samsung is keeping up the pace with its software support. In recent days, the company has expanded the rollout of its December 2025 security patch to a wider range of Galaxy devices, including the budget-friendly Galaxy A05 and A24, the S21 FE (Exynos variant), and the Tab S10 FE tablet lineup.

Galaxy A05, A24, S21 FE, and Tab S10 FE Join the December Update List

Starting in the entry-level segment, users of the Galaxy A05 in Vietnam and Thailand have begun receiving the update. Identified by firmware version A055FXXSCDYL2, this build remains on Android 15, marking the final major OS version for this device's lifecycle. According to Samsung, this patch addresses approximately 57 security vulnerabilities flagged by Samsung, Google, and other partners within the Android ecosystem.

The rollout has also reached the Galaxy A24 in South Korea. Carrying firmware number A245NKSS7EYL2, this update focuses strictly on security patches and system stability improvements without introducing new features.

Moving up to the mid-high tier, the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21 FE is seeing a broader release. The December patch is now available in multiple markets, including India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Turkey. The update, bearing firmware version G990EXXSKHYK5, weighs in at over 300 MB and continues to bolster security for the popular "Fan Edition" flagship.

Beyond smartphones, Samsung has also deployed the December 2025 security patch to its Fan Edition tablet series. Specifically, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ have started receiving updates in South Korea. The Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are currently being updated to firmware versions X520XXS5BYL2 and X620XXS5BYL2, respectively.

Users of these devices can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. As a precaution, Samsung recommends ensuring your device has sufficient battery life and is not overheating before initiating the installation process to ensure a safe and stable update.
