Samsung has just released the July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25 Edge - the thinnest phone in the Galaxy S series. This update brings many stability and security improvements, helping the device operate more reliably.

Currently, the update has been deployed in Korea with the software code S937NKSS2AYF6 and a capacity of about 550MB. Users can check in Settings > Software update > Download and install. The update is expected to be expanded to other markets in the coming days.
This update is still based on Android 15 and One UI 7, but Samsung is internally testing One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 Edge and may be officially released in the near future.
Regarding the update content, Samsung said that the July patch has addressed 1 serious security vulnerability and 21 high-level vulnerabilities discovered in the Android platform. In addition, there are 17 additional patches from Samsung itself to enhance the security of Galaxy devices. Notable improvements include: Knox upgrade, improved Galaxy Watch system interface, Samsung account security, Wi-Fi password, Bluetooth connection, emergency SOS feature, and many other components.
A convenient point on the Galaxy S25 Edge is the support for seamless updates. This means that the device will download and install updates in the background during use; users just need to restart the device to complete the process.
Previously, Samsung officially released the stable One UI 8 with a series of new foldable devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold 7. With the rapid update momentum, the Galaxy S25 Edge and the entire S25 series are expected to be upgraded to One UI 8 soon.
