After a month-long silence that kept users on edge, Samsung has officially scheduled the release of the One UI 9.0 Beta 4 update for next week.

The South Korean tech giant recently issued an urgent notice to early software testers of the Galaxy S26 series in its home market. Through the Samsung Members app, the engineering team confirmed that Beta 4 is undergoing final touches and will reach users next week. This update is widely regarded as the last comprehensive bug-fixing phase, aimed at optimizing performance before the new interface makes its official debut.

Initially, the One UI 9.0 beta program (based on Android 17) had been running smoothly since early May, following a steady bi-weekly release cycle. However, Samsung's sudden three-week standstill sparked doubts regarding the software's stability. The company clarified that this delay was necessary, allowing developers to focus entirely on squashing lingering bugs to ensure Beta 4 is the smoothest test version to date.

Industry experts suggest next week's update will serve as a crucial stepping stone. Unlike the preliminary interfaces seen in previous beta builds, the official global release at the upcoming Unpacked event promises to introduce a slew of exclusive, never-before-seen features.

According to recent leaks, invitations for the next Unpacked event are expected to be sent out mid-week. Samsung’s biggest tech showcase for the second half of the year is slated to take place on July 22 in London, UK.
