Samsung has just announced the details of the April 2025 security patch for Galaxy devices. Accordingly, a total of 56 security vulnerabilities have been fixed in this update, including vulnerabilities discovered by Google and specific security flaws that only appear on Samsung phones, Galaxy tablets and wearables.
On the official security information page, Samsung said that there are 42 patches provided by Google, of which 5 are critical and 37 are classified as high priority. In addition, there are 5 patches from Google that do not affect Samsung devices and are therefore not applied. The rest include bugs that are specifically discovered and handled by Samsung, including 1 critical vulnerability, 4 high-level bugs and 4 medium-level bugs.
Some of the specific vulnerabilities addressed by Samsung include issues with the Sticker Center feature, clipboard, HDCP protocol, Samsung Contacts app, wireless data download protocol on Galaxy Watch, input management, and Bluetooth pairing process on Galaxy Watch.
The April 2025 security patch is now available for select devices, including the Galaxy S25 series and models that have been updated to the stable One UI 7.0. Samsung says it will continue to roll out this update to more devices in the coming days. Users are advised to check for software updates regularly to ensure their devices are always optimally protected against new security threats.
