Samsung is accelerating the rollout of One UI 8.5 with the release of its third beta for the Galaxy S24 series, marking a crucial step in refining the user experience ahead of the official stable release.

Currently rolling out in South Korea and India, the update weighs in at around 850MB and features a firmware version ending in ZZDD. This aligns with newer flagship devices, suggesting Samsung is streamlining its software development across multiple product lines.

The most notable addition is a suite of new Galaxy AI features. Call Screening now automatically handles calls from unknown numbers, allowing users to screen information without picking up the phone. Meanwhile, Creative Studio introduces intuitive content creation tools tailored for on-device editing and design.

Familiar tools like Audio Eraser and Photo Assist have also received upgrades, boasting improved audio processing and photo editing capabilities. Alongside these enhancements, Samsung has addressed several lingering bugs from previous betas, delivering a smoother and more stable system.

The update also packs the April 2026 security patch, fixing numerous vulnerabilities to bolster device security. Industry watchers anticipate Samsung may release one final beta before transitioning to the stable build.

The stable One UI 8.5 is expected to hit the Galaxy S24 series within the coming month, contingent on the final stages of the company's testing.
