The Audio Eraser feature uses Galaxy AI artificial intelligence that was introduced on One UI 7 to recognize up to six types of sound in a video, allowing users to adjust the volume of each element to remove noise. However, previously this feature only worked in the Gallery app and required opening a dedicated editor. On One UI 8, things have been significantly improved.
Audio Eraser is now available on Samsung Notes and Voice Memos. After recording, users will see the Galaxy AI button appear below the recording. Just tap it, and the system will automatically remove background noise without having to access a separate editing screen. The user experience becomes faster and more seamless.
In addition, this feature has also been improved in processing speed on the Gallery app. Users just need to play the video, and tap the Audio Eraser button in the lower right corner of the screen to immediately remove background noise without having to go through the editing interface as before.
This upgrade is currently only available in the internal beta of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series. It is not available in the latest public beta, but it is likely that this feature will be added in the next beta update for compatible Galaxy devices.
With this expansion, Audio Eraser is becoming a more useful tool, not only for video editing but also better serving the needs of daily note-taking and recording.
