Samsung's upcoming One UI 8.5 update will bring many notable improvements, including a new feature that helps users protect sensitive information in images before sharing.
The feature called Privacy Protection will automatically detect and blur important details such as ID numbers, passports or driver's licenses. Users can choose the blur style, choose the part they want to cover or keep, and even quickly compare the original photo and the edited photo before sharing or saving.

According to the leak, Privacy Protection is in the image sharing menu of One UI 8.5. When selecting this feature, the system will analyze the photo content and suggest areas to cover. This is an upgrade compared to previous versions, which were limited to the Chinese market, but are now expanded to global users.
Samsung is likely to integrate AI processing directly on the device to identify sensitive information, ensuring that personal data is not sent out. With this addition, One UI 8.5 not only enhances the user experience but also provides peace of mind when users share images every day.
