Samsung has been busy expanding its internal testing for One UI 8.5 over the last few weeks, and it’s not just for the flagships. Following a wave of A, M, and F series devices spotting on the servers, the Galaxy M07 and F07 are the latest budget contenders confirmed to be testing the update.
According to server data, the Galaxy M07 (4G) has kicked off One UI 8.5 testing in India and Nepal with firmware version M075FXXU3CZA6. While the official release is likely still a ways off, the appearance of this test build confirms that software development for the device is actively underway.
At the same time, the Galaxy F07—which shares the same hardware DNA as the M07—has also joined the list. Spotted on servers in India and Sri Lanka with firmware E075FXXU3CZA6, it’s clear Samsung is developing One UI 8.5 for both variants simultaneously.
Before the M07 and F07 surfaced, several other budget-friendly models had already been spotted with One UI 8.5 builds, including the Galaxy A06, A07, A15 4G, A16 4G, M16, and M35. This suggests Samsung is progressively pushing the testing phase down to its entry-level lineup, rather than focusing solely on premium devices.
Both the M07 and F07 launched in 2024 running One UI 7 (based on Android 15). The move to test One UI 8.5, reportedly based on Android 16 QPR2, indicates these phones remain firmly in Samsung’s support roadmap.
One UI 8.5 is expected to bring interface tweaks, visual improvements, and new features to supported Galaxy devices. With the One UI 8.5 Beta program already live for the Galaxy S25 series in select markets, the stable update will likely arrive a few weeks after the Galaxy S26 launch—potentially around late March. If a device is slated for One UI 8, it’s highly probable it will also receive One UI 8.5.
