It looks like Now Brief won't be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 for long.
The smart Now Brief feature – currently only available on the Galaxy S25 series – is reportedly set to expand to many other Samsung flagship devices launched in the past two years, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
These devices are currently in the One UI 7 beta testing program. While the main interface of Now Brief isn't accessible on the latest betas, the source code for the feature has been found in the system. Using a familiar trick that unlocks hidden features in Android, a user on the X platform has successfully accessed the Now Brief settings on a Galaxy S24 running the One UI 7 beta. The same can be done on other devices in the testing list.
However, you can only create a shortcut to access the feature's settings, but you can't launch the main interface or use the full functionality of Now Brief.
Previously, Samsung said that Now Brief might not be available for older devices due to the high demand for AI processing capabilities since this is a feature that operates locally on the device and does not rely on cloud processing. However, the reality is that recent high-end models are capable of handling these tasks, and expanding Now Brief to other devices seems reasonable.
Essentially, Now Brief is an advanced digital assistant that helps users grasp important information during the day, such as schedules, weather, traffic conditions, health activities, and more. It works by aggregating data from many different apps and displaying it at the right time.
With the source code ready and testing underway, it’s likely that Samsung will officially bring Now Brief to other high-end Galaxy lines, including the Galaxy S23, Fold 6, Flip 6, and Tab S10, in the upcoming stable One UI 7 update. Stay tuned!
