According to insiders, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will largely retain the design language of its predecessor, featuring only minimal cosmetic changes. This isn't entirely surprising, given the significant overhaul introduced with the Fold 7. Still, Samsung is expected to introduce subtle refinements, such as a less noticeable display crease and a more premium metallic frame, to elevate the user experience.

Dimensionally, the device is rumored to be slightly thicker. Leaked measurements point to 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5 mm when unfolded, and 158.4 x 72.8 x 9 mm when closed. This marginal increase in bulk is likely tied to internal hardware upgrades.

Under the hood, the Z Fold 8 is anticipated to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. Memory configurations should remain familiar, offering 256GB/12GB, 512GB/12GB, and 1TB/16GB tiers. Pricing is expected to hold steady compared to last year's model, keeping Samsung competitive in the cutthroat premium foldable market.

One of the most notable rumored upgrades is a 5,000mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging—a welcome leap forward for Samsung, which has been conservative with charging speeds in recent years. Furthermore, the ultrawide camera might see a bump to a 50MP sensor, promising significantly sharper photos.

The slight increase in thickness has also sparked speculation that Samsung might be bringing back integrated S Pen support. The company previously sidelined the feature on certain models in the pursuit of thinness. However, like all early leaks, this remains unconfirmed.
