After a series of Galaxy devices were upgraded to One UI 8, Samsung continued to release the October 2025 security patch for the latest foldable flagship duo - Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

According to SamMobile, this update is currently being deployed for international versions, with the software code name F956BXXS2CYJ1 for Fold 6 and F741BXXS2CYJ1 for Flip 6. US users using the Verizon network have also started receiving similar patches, with code numbers F956USQS2CYJ1 and F741USQS2CYJ1.

October 2025 security patchSamsung's October 2025 security update fixes 34 serious vulnerabilities on Galaxy devices, fixing a total of 34 security vulnerabilities, of which 14 are serious bugs in the Android operating system, and the rest are bugs related to Samsung's own software. Notably, this patch addresses an issue in Samsung DeX that could allow attackers to access the recent apps list and improves the security of components such as security fingerprint, Contacts, KnoxGuard, and Knox Enterprise.

To check for and install the update, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Once the download is complete, select Install Now to start the upgrade process.
