Samsung is gearing up for One UI 8 Watch, its Wear OS 6-based operating system update for Galaxy watches. Following the stable release of the Galaxy Watch 7, the company has now released Beta 3 for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, focusing on bug fixes and performance optimizations – a clear sign that the official version is very close.
One UI 8 Watch Beta 3 is now rolling out in South Korea to Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic beta users, with build code ZYJ5, released about four weeks after Beta 2. The new update fixes bugs affecting voice recording and media controls, while also improving system stability and responsiveness.
This marks a significant step forward in the preparation for the stable release of One UI 8 Watch for the Watch 6 series. Samsung plans to expand the update to the Watch 5, Watch 4, and Watch FE models before the end of the year, and may even open a beta program for the Watch 5 as early as next month.
Based on Wear OS 6, One UI 8 Watch offers a more intuitive interface, emphasizing quick access to information with themed Tiles like health, weather, or schedule. The double-tap gesture system has been improved, the notification center has been streamlined, and the launcher interface has been optimized to display smoothly on the watch's small screen.
In the health segment, One UI 8 Watch adds a series of new features such as Antioxidant Index to estimate carotenoid levels in the body, Vascular Load to track cardiovascular pressure during sleep, and Bedtime Guidance to suggest an ideal bedtime based on recent habits. In addition, Running Coach is now smarter, creating personalized training plans suitable for each person's physical condition, helping users achieve optimal results during training.
