Samsung has just released the June 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S24 FE, focusing on fixing many security vulnerabilities on the device.
The international version of the Galaxy S24 FE (model number SM-S721B), currently distributed in many regions such as Africa, Asia, and Europe, has started receiving a new software update with firmware code S721BXXS5BYF1. Users can check and install the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Alternatively, if you want to install it manually, you can download the latest firmware to your Windows computer from the firmware page and use the Odin tool to update the device.
In the changelog, Samsung emphasized that after the update, if the “Auto Blocker” feature is enabled with “Maximum Restriction” mode, the device will not allow USB connections except for charging purposes. However, this is not a new change but has been added from a previous update.
In the long run, the Galaxy S24 FE will be upgraded to Android 16 with the One UI 8.0 interface. This is an update that Samsung is testing on the Galaxy S25 series. Although there is no official information about the release date for the Galaxy S24 FE, users can still expect the device to be upgraded soon in the near future.
