Samsung has officially rolled out the One UI 8.5 Beta program for the Galaxy S23 lineup, giving users an early glimpse of the new software ahead of its wider public release.

Currently, the beta is live for Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra users in India. Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to other key markets, including South Korea, the UK, and the US, in the coming weeks.

Weighing in at a hefty 4.16GB, the update (firmware version S911BXXU9ZZD5) bundles the April 2026 security patch. Billed as a major upgrade, it focuses heavily on interface revamps and a host of new features designed to elevate the everyday user experience. Once installed, users will notice a refreshed UI coupled with under-the-hood performance tweaks, making the device feel noticeably smoother and more intuitive.

To join the testing phase, Galaxy owners need to register via the Samsung Members app. From there, simply navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install to grab the beta once it becomes available.

The One UI 8.5 Beta program will likely run for several weeks before Samsung drops the stable version. As with any pre-release software, early adopters should anticipate encountering a few minor bugs along the way.
