After the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 officially hit the shelves with One UI 8 pre-installed, many users are wondering when their devices will receive the latest update. While it may be a while before the official release, Samsung has begun internal testing of One UI 8 for the Galaxy F34 and Galaxy M36 – two mid-range smartphones that are popular in certain markets, but not released in the US.
Information discovered by leakster Mohammed Khatri said that Samsung has uploaded One UI 8 test firmware for the Galaxy F34 and Galaxy M36 to the server. Specifically, the test version has the code E346BXXU7EYG7 for the Galaxy F34 and M366BXXU1BYG2 for the Galaxy M36. This is an internal testing phase, which usually lasts several rounds before moving to an official release.
According to the current roadmap, both devices will not be included in Samsung's public beta program. This is not surprising because the Galaxy F and M series have not been included in the beta testing support list so far, and this policy has not changed.
Testing is taking place in India, the main market for these two series. This is also where Samsung has achieved a solid position in the mid-range phone segment. According to a report from Counterpoint Research, Samsung is currently ranked second in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2025, and the Galaxy F and M series play an important role in that success.
Although the official release date of One UI 8 for the Galaxy F34 and M36 is not yet clear, the fact that testing has begun is a sign that users will no longer have to wait too long to experience the new, smoother, more modern interface from Samsung.
