Samsung has officially released the stable One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for the Galaxy A55 in Korea, the market where the device is also known as the Galaxy Quantum 5.
According to the previously announced roadmap, the Galaxy A55 was expected to start receiving the update in October. However, Samsung released it earlier than planned, showing that the One UI 8 deployment progress is being accelerated. The update has a capacity of about 1.9GB, comes with the software code A556SKSU6CYI6, confirmed by the Samsung user community.
Compared to One UI 7, the One UI 8 version brings a cleaner, more modern, and easier-to-use interface. In addition, the update adds many important upgrades to the daily experience, such as accessibility features, alarms, calls and messages, camera, Quick Share, multitasking, Samsung Health, and the Reminder app.
The Galaxy A55 in Brazil and India is scheduled to be upgraded in the first week of October, and it is likely that other markets will soon be deployed in the same period. Users can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install to experience it as soon as the update is available.
