Samsung has started rolling out the September 2025 security patch to eligible Galaxy devices, and the Galaxy A36 is the first model on the list. Users in the US, specifically on AT&T, are the first to get the update, before it expands to more markets.
Previously, Samsung released the One UI 8 Beta for a number of Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A36, along with the September security patch specifically for testers. However, this is the first time the patch has officially appeared on devices running One UI 7 and older. The update carries the version number A366USQS3AYI1 and is expected to be widely available in the US and other regions around the world soon.
According to information announced by Samsung, the September 2025 patch fixes more than 80 security vulnerabilities, including some serious bugs in Android OS and Galaxy components. This is one of the biggest patches in recent times, so users should update as soon as possible. You can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
In addition to the Galaxy A36, a series of other devices, including the Galaxy S25 series, will also receive the patch in the coming days. In parallel, Samsung is preparing to release the stable version of One UI 8 for its latest flagships this month, before expanding to many other models in October.
