Samsung is accelerating the rollout of One UI 8 based on Android 16, and the two latest names to join the internal testing list are the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53. This is considered the final preparation step before the company releases a stable update for these popular mid-range devices.

According to information shared by Akhilesh Kumar on the X platform, Samsung has started testing One UI 8 internally for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53. For these two devices, this will be the last major operating system update before entering the phase of receiving only regular security patches until 2027.

Specifically, the software build being tested has the code A336BXXUDGYG1 for the Galaxy A33 and A536BXXUGGYG1 for the Galaxy A53. These are all internal testing versions, not yet released publicly to users. Samsung is currently focusing on debugging and optimizing performance before the official release.

Since they are not on the list of high-end devices, the Galaxy A33 and A53 will almost certainly not be included in the beta testing program. Instead, users will only experience One UI 8 when the final version is released. Although there is no official timeline, based on previous updates, users may have to wait about a month and a half after the Galaxy S25 starts receiving stable updates.

One UI 8 brings many notable changes, such as the 90:10 split-screen interface, improved multitasking, and a series of interface and feature upgrades for Samsung applications.
