Samsung continues to expand the One UI 8.0 update based on Android 16 for low-cost devices. Recently, the Galaxy A06 - a smartphone launched last year - has started receiving this major update in some Asian markets.
The One UI 8.0 update, codenamed A065FXXU7CYJ8, with a capacity of about 2.3GB, is now available in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, with the September 2025 security patch. Other regions will soon be deployed in the near future. However, users may be a bit disappointed that the October security patch has not been added.

This will also be the last major Android and One UI update for the Galaxy A06. To check, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install, then select "Install now" when the download process is complete.
One UI 8.0 brings many notable improvements, such as the full-screen Quick Share interface with two separate tabs “Send” and “Receive”, and a more vivid Weather app with characters reacting to real-life weather conditions. The Calendar, Clock, and Reminders apps now support more convenient bulk content management, while Modes & Routines also adds many new conditions and actions, helping to personalize the experience more deeply.
