A newly leaked benchmark result shows that the GPU on the Exynos 2600 – Samsung's upcoming high-end processor – can surpass the Snapdragon 8 Elite in graphics processing capabilities.

According to many recent reports, Samsung is developing a new Exynos 2600 chip line to equip some models in the Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch early next year. Yesterday, this processor appeared on Geekbench with detailed information about the configuration and CPU performance score. And today, it's the GPU score's turn to be revealed – with a rather surprising result.

On the X platform (Twitter), leaker @Jukanlosreve shared a screenshot of the GPU test results using 3DMark Steel Nomad Light of the Exynos 2600. Specifically, this chip achieved 3,135 points with an average frame rate of 23.23 FPS. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Elite only scored 2,681 points and had a speed of 19.87 FPS. This means that the Exynos 2600's Xclipse 960 GPU is about 15% more powerful than the Adreno 830 on the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

However, it should be noted that the test was performed on a test board, not an actual phone. These test boards usually have better heat dissipation than smartphones, leading to higher performance. Therefore, it is possible that when put into an actual device, the Exynos 2600's performance will no longer be as outstanding and may be equal to or lower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

However, this is still a positive signal showing that Samsung has made significant strides in GPU performance with the new generation Exynos line. If everything goes according to plan, the Exynos 2600 may be officially introduced by Samsung in December, before the Galaxy S26 series launches in early January next year.
