Samsung continues to expand its software upgrade roadmap as the Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy F17 5G officially receive the One UI 8.0 update based on Android 16. These are two of the cheapest devices on the supported list, marking an important step forward in the company's synchronized update strategy.

According to Mohammed Khatri, the One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy A06 5G has the version number A066BXXU3BYI8, while the version for the Galaxy F17 5G has the code E176BXXU2BYID. Users in India have already started receiving installation notifications, and it is likely that the update will soon expand to other markets in the coming days.

Users can check and update according to the familiar instructions: go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download is complete, select Install Now to automatically reboot your device and apply the new version.

One UI 8.0 brings many visual changes and performance optimizations compared to One UI 7, including a more modern interface, enhanced security mode, improved Quick Share feature, and deeper customization in the Modes and Routines app.

Samsung is still in the final stages of releasing One UI 8, but in parallel, the company is also close to completing One UI 8.5 - the next version based on Android 16 QPR2 with many changes in interface and AI features. Notably, both Galaxy A06 5G and Galaxy F17 5G are on the list of devices eligible to receive One UI 8.5 in the upcoming update.
