In a surprising move, Samsung is rolling out its latest user interface update, One UI 8.5, to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+ ahead of its premium flagship models. The release comes just a day after the update landed on the newer Tab S11+ and Tab S11 Ultra.

South Korea is the first market to receive the update for both Wi-Fi and 5G variants. The tech giant is expected to expand the rollout globally—including to Vietnam—later this month. Users eager to test the new features can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install.

The One UI 8.5 upgrade introduces a more intuitive design, featuring translucent blur effects and floating interface elements. Bixby, Samsung’s virtual assistant, has also received a significant intelligence boost. It now better understands natural language and allows users to easily review their conversation history.

The lock screen has seen notable improvements as well. These include automatic layout adjustments for wallpapers featuring people or pets, new clock styles, and a library of dynamic interactive wallpapers. Beyond aesthetics, the update optimizes the broader Samsung ecosystem. It introduces storage sharing, an improved auto hotspot feature, and faster connection speeds when casting screens to a TV.

Most notably, the new update adds the ability to share files directly with Apple devices via Quick Share. While this cross-platform feature is currently limited to select models, Samsung promises to expand compatibility over the coming months.
