Samsung has long positioned its Galaxy devices as leaders in mobile security. The Knox platform is at the heart of that commitment, and one of its standout features is Secure Folder – where users can keep their personal data separate and secure. With One UI 8, Samsung continues to enhance this feature by adding the option to control sharing between apps inside and outside the Secure Folder.

The most notable new feature is that you can allow apps installed inside the Secure Folder to appear in the system share panel. This means that when you use an external app like Gallery or Files and want to share an image or document to an app like Samsung Notes or WhatsApp in the Secure Folder, you can do it directly from the share panel without having to manually open each app as before.

This new feature makes the data sharing flow between the normal use space and the secure area smoother, while still ensuring that sensitive data is not leaked outside.

In addition, One UI 8 also adds some other tweaks to Secure Folder such as the ability to quickly hide the entire folder and the applications inside with just one touch. These small but smart changes show Samsung's efforts to balance security and convenience in the user experience.

Currently, Samsung has released three One UI 8 beta versions for the Galaxy S25 series. It is expected that at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, the company will officially launch One UI 8 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and new generation foldable devices. Most likely, the stable update roadmap will also be announced at this event. We will continue to update the latest news to readers as soon as there is official information.
