Samsung Wallet Expands Digital Key Support to Toyota Vehicles

Samsung continues to grow the Digital Key ecosystem within Samsung Wallet by officially adding support for Toyota. The rollout begins this January, initially targeting specific Toyota models.

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 will be the first vehicle compatible with the Samsung Wallet Digital Key. According to Samsung, support will expand to additional Toyota models in the near future, aligning with the release schedule of new vehicles later this year.

In the initial phase, the Digital Key for Toyota will be available in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The European market is expected to follow, coinciding with the regional launch of 2026 Toyota models.

Similar to previously supported manufacturers, the Digital Key for Toyota meets EAL6+ security standards and supports both UWB (Ultra-Wideband) and NFC. Samsung Galaxy devices equipped with UWB will enable advanced features like hands-free unlocking, while NFC ensures essential functions such as locking, unlocking, and starting the engine remain accessible.

Keys stored in Samsung Wallet can be shared with family members or trusted contacts, with the option to revoke access at any time. In the event of a lost or stolen phone, users can rely on Samsung Find to remotely lock or delete the Digital Key, ensuring vehicle security.

The addition of Toyota highlights Samsung's accelerated global expansion of its Digital Key feature. This follows recent integrations with Porsche last month and Rivian in December, while BYD joined the ecosystem earlier in 2025.
