After a limited release in South Korea last week, Samsung is officially rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to Galaxy A34 users worldwide. The new software upgrade is now going live across multiple regions, bringing vital security enhancements to the popular mid-ranger.
Carrying the firmware version A346BXXUFFZE6, the update weighs in at a hefty 2.86 GB and is currently available in European markets. To check if the update has hit your device, simply navigate to Settings > Software update, and tap Download and install. The system will automatically handle the rest once the download is complete.
Notably, this release skips the June 2026 security patch. Instead, it bundles the May 2026 security update, which addresses a total of 39 vulnerabilities. This includes 29 underlying system flaws identified by Google, alongside 10 patches specific to Galaxy devices. Crucially, the update resolves several high-severity issues—most notably a zero-click remote code execution flaw—significantly boosting the device's overall security and stability.
Looking ahead, Samsung is expected to continue its phased rollout of One UI 8.5 to its lower-tier mid-range portfolio in the coming weeks. Exact timing, however, will vary depending on the specific region and carrier.
