Samsung has just dropped the second One UI 9 Beta for its flagship Galaxy S26 lineup. This latest release heavily focuses on squashing lingering bugs reported by early testers, aiming to boost overall system performance, stability, and fluidity. At the same time, the tech giant is officially expanding the beta program to reach a broader audience.
For early adopters in the US, the UK, South Korea, and Germany—who joined the program earlier this month—the second beta arrives with a firmware version ending in ZZEQ and weighs in at a modest 1.6GB. Meanwhile, Samsung has just opened the doors for users in India and Poland. Since this is their first taste of the beta, they'll be downloading a much larger, complete installation package of around 3.7GB. Notably, this update also sneaks in the June 2026 security patch, bringing it to beta testers a full week ahead of devices running the stable One UI 8.5.
According to Samsung's release notes, the second beta tackles specific glitches affecting Routines, the status bar, the lock screen clock, the Messages app, and Game Booster. Beyond bug fixes, the update introduces some minor under-the-hood tweaks and hardware optimizations to better handle everyday, real-world usage.

With this latest expansion, the One UI 9 beta program is now live in all six targeted countries. Samsung reportedly has no plans to roll it out to additional regions, meaning users elsewhere will have to sit tight until the stable version drops—which is currently expected around September of this year.
Following the Galaxy S26, the South Korean tech giant is expected to quickly expand the new OS beta to other premium devices. Next in line are likely the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy S25 series. If you're eager to get an early look at the new software, keep an eye on the Samsung Members app to register.
