Just under a month after launching its One UI 8.5 beta program, Samsung is expanding the rollout with a second beta release for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra.

Currently hitting devices in India and South Korea, the update weighs in at approximately 897MB with the firmware version S92xBXXU5ZZD5. Notably, the package includes the April 2026 security patch, which addresses 47 system vulnerabilities.

The latest iteration brings several major upgrades over the initial beta. A standout addition is the newfound ability to connect and share files directly with Apple devices via AirDrop. Samsung has also introduced three new camera filters, alongside various stability and user interface enhancements.

Under the hood, the update squashes several pesky bugs. Fixes include resolving unexpected Bluetooth disconnections and reducing screen flickering when zooming in dual-recording mode. Users will also notice improved layouts for notifications and the Always-On Display (AOD) clock, as well as an optimized experience across the Gallery app and lock screen.

These tweaks closely mirror the improvements seen in the latest Galaxy S25 beta, signaling Samsung’s ongoing push to unify the software experience across its flagship lineup.

To check for the update, users can navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. A device restart will be required to complete the installation.
