Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy S25 lineup in South Korea, bringing the December 2025 security patch with significant improvements.

As December began, Samsung unveiled the full details of the December 2025 security update for Galaxy phones and tablets. Less than a week later, the rollout started in earnest, with Galaxy S25 being the first to receive the patch.

The update is now available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea. The 578.57MB package delivers 57 security fixes, ensuring devices operate safely and stably.

Samsung plans to expand the rollout to additional regions globally within days. Users can check for and install the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Meanwhile, One UI 8.5 beta is expected to launch its testing program for Galaxy phones and tablets. The Galaxy S25 series will likely be among the first to participate, followed by the Galaxy Z lineup and older Galaxy models.
