Samsung has officially started the global rollout of One UI 8 based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S25 series. The update is currently available to beta users in India, Germany, and the UK, before expanding to mainstream users in these markets and quickly spreading to other regions.

Earlier this week, Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge users in South Korea got to experience the stable version of One UI 8. Now, Samsung continues to expand to markets participating in the beta program, including India, Germany, and the UK. Although the US and Poland have not been confirmed, it is likely that the update will also appear there soon.

For users in the beta, the OTA download size of the update is just under 600MB. However, if you upgrade directly from One UI 7, the size can be up to 4GB, depending on the model and region. One UI 8 brings a more intuitive look, smoother animations, and more intelligent personalization options that adapt to each user's usage habits.

The most notable feature is a series of new AI-based features that support enhanced productivity and daily experiences. From photography, data management to interface customization, everything has been upgraded to bring more seamlessness and convenience across the Galaxy ecosystem.

Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will be the first devices to experience One UI 8, before expanding to other eligible Galaxy models in the coming weeks. The entire release process is expected to be completed before the end of the year. Users can check for updates manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Make sure you have enough battery capacity and a stable Wi-Fi connection for the upgrade to go smoothly.
