Samsung One UI 7 gives parents better control over content

Samsung's Android 15-based One UI 7.0 not only improves the interface but also adds many useful features. One of the standout features this time is the Parental Control options, which help parents easily protect their children from inappropriate content.

According to Android Authority's discovery, when accessing Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls, users will see a new option called 'Content Restrictions'. This is a feature that has never appeared in One UI 6 before. Here, users can choose between two options: 'Web Content' and 'Age Rating for Apps and Games'.

The 'Web Content' option allows blocking inappropriate websites, such as those with pornographic or violent content when using the Samsung Internet browser. Samsung also admitted that no filter is perfect, but it will try to protect young users as much as possible.

Meanwhile, the 'Age Rating for Apps and Games' option helps parents control downloads on the Galaxy Store. Users can set age restrictions, including options such as 'All ages', '12+', '16+', and '18+', or based on the age registered in their Samsung account. This helps ensure that children only access age-appropriate apps.

With these improvements, parents now have more tools to effectively control their children's online activities. Samsung plans to expand these control features to other Galaxy devices when One UI 7.0 is widely deployed. Currently, the stable update has not been released for eligible Galaxy models, but the wait promises to bring many improvements worth it for users.
