Samsung has officially introduced One UI 8, a new user interface based on Android 16. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE will be the first devices to come pre-installed with this software when they hit the shelves. Meanwhile, the company is accelerating testing to ensure that the rollout to other devices is not interrupted. Recently, the Galaxy S23 FE has appeared in the list of devices that are running One UI 8 internal testing.

The latest information shows that Samsung is testing a One UI 8 build for the Galaxy S23 FE in the European market. Specifically, the discovered build has the code S711BXXU9FYG2, showing that development has been quietly carried out internally.

One UI 8 promises to bring many notable improvements to Galaxy devices. Some of the most anticipated features include a 90:10 split-screen mode for more flexible multitasking, a redesigned lock screen clock with new customizations, and upgraded security features to increase control over personal data.

Currently, Samsung is focusing on perfecting the One UI 8 software for the new foldable models before the official launch. After the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE are officially sold, the company will start rolling out the update more widely to other models.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be the first devices to be upgraded to the stable One UI 8 version. This will be followed by recent flagship models such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S23 FE will also receive the update soon in the next batches.
