Samsung Galaxy A73 5G receives February 2025 security update

Samsung continues to roll out the latest security updates for its devices. After the Galaxy A34 5G, the Galaxy A73 5G has now also started receiving the February 2025 security patch. The update is currently rolling out in several Asian countries, including Malaysia, and is expected to expand to more markets soon.

Samsung has been internally testing One UI 7 for the Galaxy A73 5G. Several test builds have surfaced, suggesting that the company is preparing a major update for the device. While there is no official release date yet, the tech community predicts that One UI 7 will be rolled out after the Galaxy S24 series receives a stable update.

Galaxy A73 5G users can now download the February 2025 security patch with build number A736BXXSAEYB2. This update helps keep your device safer from potential threats and prepares it for upcoming new features.

Notably, the February 2025 update fixes one critical bug and 34 high-level security vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. However, two of these bugs do not affect Galaxy devices. In addition, Samsung has also introduced seven separate security patches (SVEs) to optimize performance and user experience, focusing on apps like Samsung Find and system settings components.

Users can check for and download the new update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
