Samsung is ramping up the rollout of its April 2026 security patch, expanding the update to a broader range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
Following recent updates to the Galaxy A54, A55, and A56, the South Korean tech giant is now bringing the latest firmware to the older Galaxy A53. The update, bearing firmware version A536NKSSGGZD1, is currently rolling out in South Korea, with a wider global release expected shortly.
In the foldable lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 are also receiving the patch in Samsung’s home market. These updates—featuring firmware versions F936NKSS7IZCS, F721NKSS7IZCS, F946NKSS6FZCS, and F731NKSS6FZCS, respectively—focus heavily on bolstering system stability and device security.
On the tablet front, the premium 5G variants of the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra have joined the list, snagging firmware versions X826NKOS7CZD3 and X926NKOS7CZD3. Interestingly, the newer Galaxy Tab S11 series has yet to receive this month's security update.
While the April 2026 update doesn't introduce any flashy new features, it delivers crucial under-the-hood improvements. According to the official release notes, the patch squashes 47 security vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google, and their partners.
Users in South Korea can manually check for the availability of the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. For those in other regions, the rollout is expected to hit devices in the coming days.
