Samsung is steadily expanding its April 2026 security patch to more devices as the testing phase for One UI 8.5 heats up. Notably, the recently launched Galaxy A37 is receiving its first-ever post-launch update, while the budget-friendly Galaxy A34 has also joined the rollout.
For the Galaxy A37, the latest firmware—carrying the April 2026 security patch—is currently making its way to markets including Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and the Philippines under build number A376BXXS2AZC2. Since the device launched with One UI 8.5 out of the box, this update primarily focuses on tightening security, improving system stability, and squashing early bugs.
Further down the lineup, the Galaxy A34 is catching up. Following closely on the heels of the Galaxy A54, the A34's update is already live in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines (firmware version A346EXXSEEZC7), with a broader global release expected shortly.
Regarding the highly anticipated One UI 8.5 Beta, it appears the Galaxy A34 might be left out of the testing roster. While the Galaxy A54 has been spotted in internal test builds and has actively joined the beta program, there are currently no signs of the A34 participating.
As for the April 2026 patch itself, it doesn't bring any flashy new features. Instead, it addresses 47 security vulnerabilities flagged by Samsung, Google, and partner networks, while giving overall system reliability a welcome boost.
To manually check for the update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Just make sure your device has sufficient battery and a stable Wi-Fi connection before proceeding.
