After being released in many markets, One UI 8 Beta is finally available in the US for Galaxy S24 series users, just one day later than other regions. This is an opportunity to experience the new improvements on the Android 16 platform early, before the stable version is released.
The update currently supports Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra with firmware code S92xU1UEU4ZYH3, is about 3.25GB in size, and comes with the August 2025 security patch. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US have not been added to the beta program yet.
Users who want to participate can download Samsung Members from the Galaxy Store or Google Play, log in with the Samsung account they are using on the device, then select the One UI 8 Beta Program banner right on the app's homepage to register. Once complete, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install, wait for the download to complete, and tap “Install Now”. The device will automatically reboot, and you can start experiencing One UI 8 Beta.
However, Samsung recommends not installing the beta on daily-use devices because experimental software often has many bugs and performance issues. Users participating should actively send feedback via Samsung Members so that the company can improve before releasing the official version.
