Samsung continues to expand its software upgrade roadmap with the release of One UI 8.0 based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S23 series in Europe, after rolling it out in Korea a few days ago. This is a major update that brings many improvements to the interface, performance, and security.
According to information from the update, the Galaxy S23 in Europe received software with version code S918BXXU8EYI5 / S918BOXM8EYI5 / S918BXU8EYI5, about 3.3GB in size. In addition to the new features of One UI 8, the update also comes with the September 2025 Android security patch, making the device more secure against newly discovered vulnerabilities.

One UI 8 brings important changes, focusing on a more intuitive and intelligent experience. Users will receive a new version of Samsung DeX inspired by Android 16's Desktop Mode, supporting more flexible working; a refreshed Samsung Internet browser with a clean interface; along with upgraded Quick Share and Weather applications to display information more intuitively and vividly. In addition, the security system is also enhanced, making data in the Secure Folder safer than before.
To check and install, Galaxy S23 users can access Settings > Software update > Download and install. With a rapid deployment speed, it is expected that in the next few weeks, One UI 8 will soon be available to all Galaxy S23 users globally.
