Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold after months of speculation, confirming most of the previously leaked details about its design and capabilities. As expected from a flagship-tier device, Samsung is backing the TriFold with one of its strongest software support policies to date.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will receive seven generations of Android upgrades, matching the company’s other top-end models. Samsung is also promising seven years of security updates, with official support running until December 31, 2032, positioning it among the most future-proof foldable devices on the market.
The phone ships with Android 16 and One UI 8 out of the box, which means it is slated to receive updates all the way up to Android 23 in the coming years. This long-term roadmap gives users strong assurance about both longevity and security throughout the device’s life cycle.
When unfolded, the Galaxy Z TriFold reveals a 10‑inch display that offers an area roughly equivalent to placing three 6.5‑inch screens side by side, allowing up to three apps to run simultaneously for enhanced multitasking. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite paired with 16 GB of RAM, delivering flagship-grade performance for both productivity and entertainment.
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be sold in limited markets. The device is priced at around 2,500 USD and is scheduled to go on sale first in South Korea from December 12, with other markets including the United States, UAE, Singapore, China, and Taiwan to follow at a later date yet to be specified.
