Samsung is accelerating the deployment of year-end security patches by simultaneously updating a series of Galaxy devices. Most recently, the quartet of foldable smartphones including Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have officially received the November 2025 patch in Korea, before expanding to other markets.

This is an important security update, fixing 45 vulnerabilities affecting the system, including many high-severity errors related to Android as well as Samsung's customized software. With this patch, the two most recent Galaxy Z generations will continue to maintain the level of safety and stability according to flagship standards.

The update package in Korea has the following version number:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 7: F966NKSS6AYK9
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7: F766NKSS6AYK9
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6: F956NKSS2CYK3
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6: F741NKSS2CYK3

Other markets may have different firmware codes but the update content remains the same. As is customary with security patches, the November 2025 update does not add new features but focuses entirely on system enhancements. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 continue to run One UI 8, while the Fold 6 and Flip 6 received Android 16 a few weeks ago.

To install the update, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After downloading, the device will require a reboot to complete.

Since they are part of the monthly patch group, these four models are expected to receive another security update in December. The next major update – One UI 8.5 – will only arrive after Samsung launches the Galaxy S26, expected in the first quarter of next year.
