
Samsung has just released a new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, bringing the October 2025 security patch with many important improvements related to system stability and safety.
Currently, the update is being deployed in Korea, with a size of about 535MB and firmware version F966NKSS5AYJ3. Users can check and download it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. This update is expected to be released in other regions in the next few days.
The October 2025 patch focuses on fixing security vulnerabilities recently discovered by Google and Samsung, while improving the overall performance and stability of the device, helping the Galaxy Z Fold 7 run smoother in daily use.
Meanwhile, users are also waiting for the next major update – One UI 8.5 – which is expected to be released soon. This version is built on Android 16 QPR2, bringing a refined interface, expanded AI features, and many improvements to the multitasking experience specifically for foldable devices.
According to insiders, Samsung has nearly completed the development of One UI 8.5, and this update will launch with the Galaxy S26 series, before being released to other high-end devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, in the near future.
