Samsung has just started releasing the October 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, just hours after the Galaxy Z Fold 7 series received a similar patch. Despite being close to November, the company has quickly completed the update cycle to bring a more stable and secure experience to users of the latest foldable device.

According to the record, the October 2025 patch fixes 34 security vulnerabilities discovered by Google and Samsung. In addition, the new firmware also improves system stability and increases smoothness when operating, helping the device operate more stably and reliably during use.

Although it does not bring major changes to the interface or features, this is still an update that should be installed immediately to ensure the safety of the device. In parallel, Samsung is developing One UI 8.5, which promises to bring a completely new visual experience and interface, more vivid and intuitive.

The update is now rolling out in South Korea and will be rolled out to other markets in the coming days. Users can check by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 come with One UI 8 based on Android 16, with a commitment to software updates for up to 7 years – including major upgrades and regular security patches. This is a testament to Samsung's long-term strategy of ensuring its foldable devices are always supported for a long time, while rival Apple is still struggling with the launch of its first foldable iPhone, which may be delayed until 2027.
