Samsung continues to expand its latest software rollout as the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 have started receiving the One UI 8 (Android 16) update in multiple global markets. These are the next two foldable phones to receive the update after the newer Galaxy Z series completed the update earlier.
The One UI 8 update has been released in Asia, Europe, and Africa with a firmware code ending in IYIF. Along with the new interface update, users will also receive the October 2025 security patch, making these two models the first Samsung devices to receive the latest security patch.
The download size is over 3GB, indicating that the update brings many significant changes. One UI 8 introduces a streamlined interface, smoother animations, and a series of intelligent AI features optimized for a seamless experience across the Galaxy ecosystem. Many system apps, such as Samsung Internet, Weather, DeX, Secure Folder, Quick Share, Modes and Routines, and Auracast have been redesigned in the new style of Android 16.
The Camera app has also been greatly improved, adding quick swipe gestures to access tools and settings, along with smarter HDR processing to help photos have better details and light balance. Thanks to that, the photography experience on Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 becomes more intuitive, responsive, and professional.
If you are using Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Flip 4, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for the new version. Due to the large capacity, Samsung recommends using Wi-Fi when downloading to ensure stability. After installing and restarting, your device will be upgraded to One UI 8 with many valuable improvements in interface, performance, and security.
