Samsung has just released a new software update for its flagship smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra. While it doesn't add any new features, the patch brings the August 2025 security update, helping the device maintain stability and safety when in use. The rollout will soon expand globally in the next few days.

According to the official changelog, the update mainly focuses on enhancing security and improving system performance, while the interface and features remain the same on the One UI 8 Watch platform, Samsung's latest operating system based on Wear OS 6. This version has been highly appreciated for its ability to connect more closely with Galaxy smartphones and integrate many useful AI features.

In Korea, OTA updates are now available in sizes of around 160MB, varying by version and connection:

  • Galaxy Watch 8 Bluetooth: L320XXS1AYH7 (40mm) and L330XXS1AYH7 (44mm)
