Samsung has just released One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 for the Galaxy Watch 7, continuing its software testing program based on Wear OS 6. This is the fifth update since the beta phase started in June, showing that the company is rushing to complete it to prepare for the official release.
Currently, the update is only deployed in Korea with firmware version ZYI4. Although the distribution scope is limited, this upgrade brings many important tweaks to improve the user experience.
According to the changelog, One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 fixes 6 major bugs:
- Fixed the exercise error that was paused when a medication reminder appeared.
- Fixed the health tracking box being displayed blank.
- Reduced lag when using the watch.
- Fixed the wrist raising feature to turn on the screen or Always On Display being disabled when exiting sleep mode.
- Fixed the time difference when turning on the screen in Always On Display mode.
- Fixes the timer app not working.
Galaxy Watch 7 beta users can update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on their phone, going to Watch Settings > Watch Software Update > Download and Install. With the rapid release rate, it can be seen that Samsung is very close to a stable One UI 8 Watch version for the latest generation of smartwatches.
