Samsung continues to expand the scope of the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for mid-range devices this month. The latest is that the Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ tablets have started receiving the update, first in the Korean market.

This update for the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ is about 2.5GB in size, and comes with the March 2025 security patch. Currently, the mobile network-supported versions are being prioritized for update, while the Wi-Fi version is expected to follow soon.

Users can check and download the update by going to Settings, selecting Software update, and then tapping Download and install. This update has a firmware code ending in DYDA.

Despite being in the mid-range segment, the Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ still receive many notable features from One UI 7. These include the Now Bar toolbar that displays information in real time, a redesigned quick control panel that is more customizable, a more flexible home screen widget, and a smoother motion effect system throughout the interface.

Samsung is expected to expand this update to many other markets in the next one to two weeks. Users of Tab A9 series devices globally can expect to experience the new interface soon.
