Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will be upgraded to the stable version of One UI 8 this month. And everything seems to be on track: a leaked roadmap suggests that September 18th could be when the update will officially start rolling out.
According to leaker Akhilesh Kumar, Samsung is already testing a stable build of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25, which comes with the September security patch. The build has the build number S938BXXU5BYI3, with the “B” character indicating that this is the final firmware – unlike beta builds, which always start with “Z”. This is a clear sign that Samsung is almost done with the final tweaking process.
If that’s the case, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will be the first devices to receive the official version of One UI 8 in mid-September, before Samsung expands it to more devices.
As usual, South Korea will be the first market to receive the update, after which the patch will gradually be rolled out to Europe, the US, Canada and other regions. That means in just a few days, Galaxy S25 users around the world will be able to fully experience the new features of Android 16 combined with One UI 8.
